BEN HEINE SPEAKING: MAY I ASK WHY YOU PARTICIPATED IN MY WIKIPEDIA's ENTRY DELETION WITH KARL MEIER AND OFFICE GIRL? THIS IS NOT FAIR! THE ENTRY HAD BEEN WRITTEN AGAIN AND RE DOWNLOADED BY OTHER PEOPLE AND YOU STILL KEEP DELETING IT. WHO ARE YOU? CONTACT ME HERE : heinebenjamin@hotmail.com YOU CAN TYPE MY NAME ON GOOGLE OR YAHOO TO VERIFY THAT MY WORKS IS BEING PUBLISHED ON SEVERAL SERIOUS SITES. —Preceding unsigned comment added by BenHeine (talk • contribs) 00:58, 4 October 2007 (UTC)
Hi, on August 5 you deleted the above article that had been tagged as nonsense by User:Consequentially. I had once removed the tag but Consequentially re-tagged it. Although the text of the article was a bit informal, it was clearly not patent nonsense as defined by CSD G1. What is more, a quick google search for "weaponhouse" and " 'Weapon house' + church " indicates that information was fairly accurate. Perhaps you could reconsider your deletion and restore the article. Dsmdgold 03:04, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
- If it wasn't patent nonsense, the it should not have been deleted as patent nonsense. You bring up notability. However, CSD A7 is limited to "real person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content". As an architectural detail this is none of the above. Dsmdgold 14:12, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
- An editor has asked for a deletion review of Weaponhouse. Since you closed the deletion discussion for this article or speedy-deleted it, you might want to participate in the deletion review. Dsmdgold 14:39, 14 August 2007 (UTC)
- I've undeleted the article. First, the speedy tag was removed by Dsmdgold, the article was created by Arve Holmeide. The removal of the speedy tag should not have been reverted, it was a valid contesting by an independant user (not your fault). Second, you admitted that it was not patent nonsense (and it isn't). Finally, A7 can only apply to people, groups, companies and web content. This article is about a room in old churches. Mr.Z-mantalk¢ 20:38, 14 August 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Szia! A szerkesztőablak alól ma reggelre eltünt a speciális karakterek listája.

Szia, Berci! A magyar nyelvű Unciklopédia (és az Uncommons) napok óta elérhetetlen, miközben más nyelveken fut. Próbáltam már panaszkodni: eredménytelenül. Nézz utána, kérlek. Üdv: OsvátA. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 80.99.179.15 (talk) 05:33, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

Just seen your interview. Well done for raising the profile of Wikipedia. I've done three years of medical school and am currently starting an intercalated degree in endocrinology. I'd like to get involved - I don't know anything off hand to write about, but I would like to write about anything that I could find journal articles on. MCOTW
[edit]I think a month is too long. I think fortnightly cycles are a reasonable compromise. I couldn't live with the thought of only twelve medical articles becoming FA each year; 26 somehow feels better.
We need to make more noise. There are a few people at WP:CLINMED who can help with MCOTW, but in the long run we cannot do without the help of TimVickers (for the molecular biology), SandyGeorgia and other people from the allied fields. I have a low threshold for involving experts (as I did on coeliac disease). JFW | T@lk 18:34, 21 August 2007 (UTC)
- I suggest we roll around MCOTW on the 1st and the 15th of each month. If no articles have been voted for, you and me can decide which article most sorely needs work (e.g. allergy as I've recently complained about).
- I think we should roll around to meningitis on 1 Sept. JFW | T@lk 19:31, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
- Having a regular schedule changing at the 1st and 15th sounds very good! As JFW says, it really helps to make some noise. Notify everyone who has voted on their talk pages, notify all other people who might make helpful contributions or contributed to mcotw in the past. Also, stick to the clinical medicine articles. Transcription factor, which was the MCOTW a little while ago, is not something many doctors or med students know a lot about. Articles such as meningitis or allergy are a lot better. --WS 20:58, 27 August 2007 (UTC)
Would you mind having a look at this and perhaps providing a translation for the remaining chunk in Hungarian? It's been sitting around a while... No pressure though.
Have you looked at pages needing translation before? I see pages on there in Hungarian from time to time nowadays... You're the only Hungarian editor I know, and probably one of the most active. :-) Grandmasterka 07:04, 22 August 2007 (UTC)

Delete Image
[edit]Hello Dr. Bertalan, I hope you are still around once in awhile. Could you please speedy delete an image for me? . There should be no controversy since Im the one who posted it in the first place, the laugh is finished, and the licensing is not quite right anyway. Thanks in advance. István 21:36, 22 September 2007 (UTC)
Why did you delete this article? This artist clearly meets WP:MUSIC as there were multiple reviews of his work from sources such as IGN, All Music Guide, BBC Collective, and Resident Advisor that were cited in the article. Please undelete it. I will refrain from undeleting it myself, so if you don't I'll just take it to DRV where the deletion will be quickly overturned. Thanks! Justin Berry/Authors
[edit]Hi. Would you undelete Justin Berry/Authors? It is a copy of the page history as it was before many revision were deleted per WP:BLP concerns. (Compare the history, which is not the same.) Thanks, --Iamunknown 16:56, 14 October 2007 (UTC)
Habit of Arcane
[edit]Why was the page titled HABIT OF ARCANE deleted? Habit is a well known performer that toured on the national touring vans warped tour for 3 years. as well as independently with the band ARCANE Nothing in the article was false. He is a hype man just like the many pages wiki has below. Just because you may not know him does not mean that thousands of other people dont. He's worked with slick rick, atmosphere, non phixion, lordz of brooklyn and many other nationally recognized acts. He's also written many reviews and articles for 4twk a magazine out of Maine. Those links were provided in the original article.
Flavor Flav (Public Enemy) Tony Yayo (G-Unit) Jerome Benton (The Time) Sen Dog (Cypress Hill) Proof (D-12) Spliff Star (Busta Rhymes) Luke Skyywalker (2 Live Crew) Freaky Tah (Lost Boyz) Khleo Thomas (Bow Wow) Bang 'Em Smurf (Silverback Guerillaz) Slo'Down (St. Lunatics) Music producers that are hype men:
Fatman Scoop Swizz Beatz Lil Jon Timbaland Diddy (The Notorious B.I.G.) Jermaine Dupri Jazze Pha Solar Nitti
Thanks

Joe Taddeo deletion
[edit]One remarkable thing that is happening on Wikipedia is information that is notable that was collected nowhere else is being collected here. One example of that is Category:Recipients of US Distinguished Flying Cross. Unfortunately, the government did not keep a cumulative record of DFC recipients, therefore no one knows how many have been awarded or to whom. [2] Due to its collaborative nature wikipedia is producing the first ever such list, which is a remarkable, important, and appropriate thing for an encyclopedia to do. As you know, items are not added directly to a category page but instead an article on the item must refer to the category and that produces the entry on the category page. This is a good design except sometimes the articles created for this purpose are inadequately sourced, or seem to fall short of wikipedia's notability guidelines. One solution would be to allow direct editing of category pages and then new entries would only have pages created if there was proper information to flesh out an article. Another solution would be to assume that if the article properly belongs on the category page then it must (categorically) pass the notability and sourcing tests. You're the administrator, you and your peers should figure that out. Suffice to say, until you do you are out of line deleting the article Joe Taddeo. The only way to put him on the Category:Recipients of US Distinguished Flying Cross page is to leave Joe Taddeo alone. The fact he won the medal is well sourced (I provided a copy of the citation) and the fact he won it is significant to anyone interested in the medal. Put it back up until you figure out how to fix the category pages. Wongaboo
Looking for a WikiProgrammer, I suppose
[edit]This table on the Medicine portal page inspired me to do something about a few "unassessed quality" pages today. What I'd really like is to be able to click on the numbers in the table and get a list of pages which are BOTH "unassessed" AND "mid" importance. I did the unassessed/high importance ones by hand just now, but clicking through 679 pages to find 18 unassessed ones is beyond the limits of my joints.
I realize this isn't something that you're likely to be able to do for me -- or perhaps you know of a way to get that list outside of the table? -- but I don't even know where to find an appropriate person, and you seem experienced and connected. Any ideas for me? (I'll watch this page for the next week, so you can reply here if you prefer.) WhatamIdoing 18:45, 19 October 2007 (UTC)

I referenced your blogpost in the Polish Wikipedia's Wikiproject "Medical sciences".
It wasn't really a discussion about the post rather about in what state medical articles in Polish Wikipedia are.

Fran Lebowitz
[edit]I don't see the reason for removing Fran lebowitz from American satirits. Lebowitz is a satirical writer and, since Satirists in not listed as a subcategory of humorists, it is not as if I am adding her to excessive categories. Wikia
[edit]Üdv, elkezdtem a magyar Wikia felületen ügyködni, pár alap lapot megszövegeztem: segítség, kategóriafa, Friss események, stb.

Re: GA Sweeps
[edit]Hello, medicine area has not been taken. But let me explain the process first. Basically each person picks an area in which they want to review. Then they sweep every GA in that area where they'll choose between a variety of options (keep, put on hold, send to GAR, or bold delist). Since we're talking about delisting a larget amount of GA at the hands of a few individuals, we must choose those editors who have a firm understanding of GA criteria and all GA processes (GAN, GAR). Can you provide me a few examples of the GA reviews that you conducted? OhanaUnitedTalk page 17:31, 8 December 2007 (UTC)
